Rosario Dawson Getting A Star Wars Video Game?
Rosario Dawson could be headlining a Star Wars video game.

Rosario Dawson has made a big splash as Ahsoka Tano in the Star Wars universe, and she could be getting another push in her own starring video game.
Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman suggests Lucasfilm has an ace hidden up its sleeve: a pending Ahsoka Tano video game centered around the adventures of Anakin Skywalker’s former Padawan. Rosario Dawson herself could be starring in the game. Even if the rumors were untrue, it would still benefit Lucasfilm to actualize the concept into a fun, heartwarming action-adventure. With a memorable appearance on The Mandalorian and her own solo miniseries in development, everybody who’s anybody wants to see Rosario Dawson change into the Togruta Force-user’s white head-tails one more time and become Ahsoka again.
Lucasfilm has already rubber-stamped more Star Wars films — and streaming shows — than Disney can fit into its upcoming slate. The company has enough ambition, creativity, and resources to bankroll as many Star Wars properties as it can afford and dominate the box office with galaxy-hopping bounty hunters, adorable floofy humanoids, quirky robots, and superpowered space priests for decades to come. Disney executives are channeling their monstrously profitable Marvel formula into their Star Wars subsidiaries and show no signs of stopping. Which makes it all the more unusual for Lucasfilm to only have one Star Wars video game incoming. After the grounding success of 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, you’d think Lucasfilm would have 10 more games ready for us, but nope. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the only Wars video game debuting alongside Lucasfilm’s many streaming and blockbuster greats, and even it has been backed up indefinitely.
The game could kick off shortly after Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka guided Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) into the ruins of a Force-sensitive Tython temple and inform viewers on what happens during the transition between the second season of The Mandalorian and Ahsoka’s solo outing. Conversely, the game could also tell us what Ahsoka was up to leading up to the events of Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens and shortly after Ben Solo’s death and imminent redemption. Does Ahsoka forge her own path like she did in The Clone Wars, or catch up to Rey (Daisy Ridley) and assist in restoring the Jedi Order to its former glory? Or will Ahsoka sacrifice her light side to the darkness in the Force and become a Sith Lord like her former master, depicting the former Jedi at her worst? Hey, we know by now she’s dead too — a Force spirit like her predecessors — but if Palpatine could come back, so could she. It’s Star Wars. The wisened former Padawan has endured much in her lifetime, from loss and betrayal to loneliness and isolation, and could easily succumb to the despair and adopt a concerning set of ideals to rival even Kylo Ren. Star Wars lore has expanded beyond the original trilogy enough to provide screenwriters with more source material than they can handle — encouraging news for a franchise that only dreams of constantly aiming higher.
Rosario Dawson is beloved for her manifold movie and television credits — notably her time playing superhero nurse Claire Temple in the Marvel-Netflix shows — but she’s been in a handful of video games too. She was sometimes the protagonist Billie Lurk (and later boatman Meagan Foster) in Dishonored 2 and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider and reprised the role of Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in Lego Dimensions. She also voiced survivor Elsa Wolcott in VR horror game Wilson’s Heart alongside Peter Weller (Robocop, Star Trek Into Darkness), tech expert Elaris in Ratchet & Clank, lead Biotech engineer Lily Drawl in Syndicate, and school adviser Isa in the more recent NBA 2K20. Rosario Dawson is also a veteran in animation, lending her voice to over 13 characters in multiple known properties, including Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in the DC Animated Movie Universe pre-Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, taking over from Kate Beckinsale since Justice League: Throne of Atlantis.
