The tumultuous marriage between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, and the subsequent legal battles after, have led to some major casting changes. After one court case between Depp and Heard, Johnny Depp was soon fired from the Fantastic Beasts franchise, and replaced by Hannibal actor Mads Mikkelsen. While Amber Heard is still part of the cast for the upcoming Aquaman 2, there have been many rumors that Heard is being cut from the film or being recast altogether. Now, a new deepfake video has found a horrible and terrifying combination of both actor’s work.
In what might be the most disturbing deepfake video made yet, Twitter user Eddie Pozos has posted the above video, which replaces Johnny Depp with Amber Heard in scenes from Aquaman. The result is as unsettling as one would imagine, with the mustachioed actor in Heard’s green outfit and wet hair, receiving sly looks and romantic interest from Jason Momoa. The video is the thing of nightmares, and is quite literally the worst mixing of Depp and Heard possible.
Since Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s relationship has become incredibly public, the two have both had to deal with the ramifications in their careers. Not only has Depp been dropped from the Fantastic Beasts franchise, but there are rumors that he also will no longer be associated with the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise either. While it’s unclear what this would mean for Captain Jack Sparrow or the future of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, it does show that major studios are shying away from working with the actor.
While Amber Heard’s relationship with Johnny Depp hasn’t dropped the actress from any major projects, it hasn’t stopped many people from trying to have her career tanked as well. There have been several petitions calling for Heard to also get fired from Aquaman 2, and despite multiple rumors that she has left the project, Heard is still signed on for this sequel, and will also be appearing as Hera in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
Yet even before the news was full of details of the marriage between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, Depp’s career wasn’t exactly on an upswing anyways. His latest film, Waiting for the Barbarians, was released in 2019, and despite having a cast that also included Robert Pattison and Mark Rylance, the film was released with little fanfare. The only project on the way from Depp is Minamata, which was originally scheduled to be released last month, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
But no matter what your opinion of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, nobody asked for this monstrosity, and Depp-Hera does not need to exist in this world. This unholy abomination is now the biggest enemy within the DC Cinematic Universe, and the entire Justice League must team up to stop it before it’s too late. At the very least, you can next see the real Amber Heard play Hera in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which is coming out on March 18, 2021 to HBO Max.
