Pedro Pascal Joining The Marvel Cinematic Universe
After starring in The Mandalorian and Wonder Woman 1984, a new report says that Pedro Pascal might be coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Pedro Pascal has been steadily appearing in more and more impressive projects over the last year, most notably taking on the role of Din Djarin in The Mandalorian. But even though the actor is currently one of the biggest parts of the Star Wars universe right now, it seems like he could have even larger projects on the way, as a new rumor suggests that Marvel is considering Pascal for a part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This piece of gossip comes from We Got This Covered, which don’t specify what project Pedro Pascal is in the running for, only that Marvel is thinking about putting the actor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But Disney is no stranger to putting some of their favorite actors in all sorts of various roles. Pixar’s Onward starred Chris Pratt and Tom Holland, both of which are already heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while Disney has reused Johnny Depp in multiple live-action projects like Pirates of the Caribbean, Alice in Wonderland, and The Lone Ranger.
But in recent years, it seems like Disney has been interested in reusing some of their Star Wars actors in other projects as well. For example, Kelly Marie Tran, who played Rose Tico in both The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, will voice the lead character in Disney’s upcoming animated film, Raya and the Last Dragon. Meanwhile, Oscar Isaac, who played Poe Dameron in the latest Star Wars trilogy, will be starring in Disney+’s Moon Knight series. Placing Pedro Pascal in the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be another example of Disney utilizing actors that already have a presence in their franchises.
Yet maybe the biggest problem with getting Pedro Pascal into the Marvel Cinematic Universe is that The Mandalorian has made him an increasingly in-demand actor. Pascal will be releasing The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, which stars Nicolas Cage and will be released on March 19, 2021. In addition to this, Pascal’s future projects include starring in Judd Apatow’s latest comedy, The Bubble, and he will be playing Joel in HBO’s highly-anticipated The Last of Us adaptation.
It should also be noted that Pedro Pascal has already appeared in DC’s Wonder Woman 1984 last year, and while there have been several actors like Ryan Reynolds and JK Simmons who have worked with both studios, it’s a rarity. Even rarer though is an actor who appears in both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC’s film universe. While it looks as though Pedro Pascal’s appearance as Maxwell Lord in Wonder Woman 1984 was just a one-off role, the number of actors who have appeared in both studio’s films so close to each other is extremely rare.
Considering Pedro Pascal already has an extremely popular character on Disney+, it seems like if Marvel were to use Pascal for a future project, it would probably be a film of some sort, rather than having Pascal star in two different Disney+ projects. With plenty of time between seasons of The Mandalorian, it’s certainly possible that Marvel could introduce Pedro Pascal into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although it’s not clear who he would play or when he would theoretically appear in this world.
