Chris Pratt Says The Accusations Against Him Are Faked
With the hashtag #ripchrispratt becoming popular on Twitter, Chris Pratt has said the tweets claiming to be his have been faked.

Recently on Twitter, the hashtag #ripchrispratt has been making the rounds. The Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World actor is still very much alive, but some old unearthed tweets are causing a backlash against the actor. While these tweets would certainly be controversial if they were real, both a spokesperson for Chris Pratt and Twitter are saying that the tweets are fake.
One of the tweets in question features a racial slur, while another says “Muslims scare me so much.” Pratt’s team has said that the actor didn’t delete the tweets, but that they never existed in the first place. The tweets are dated between 2012 and 2013, while another tweet from that period, which reads “#MissUniverse In a way they all look like Miss Hungry.” has turned out to be real, but only shows that the Parks and Recreation actor wasn’t always hilarious.
This isn’t the first time that many have called for the cancellation of Chris Pratt. Previously, Elliot Page called out Pratt for being a member of Hillsong Church, which the actor claimed was “infamously anti-LGBTQ.” While Pratt said that “nothing could be further from the truth,” Hillsong has had its fair share of controversies. While Pratt has mostly stayed out of political discussions, it is that inability to state his political leaning that has made many question whether or not he is a conservative. For example, a recent reunion of the Parks and Recreation cast to raise funds for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin saw Pratt noticeably absent.
Yet at least with this most recent controversy, it looks as though Chris Pratt might be innocent. If Twitter can find no existence of these tweets, it seems like no one will be able to confirm whether or not Pratt made these controversial statements. All that digging into Pratt’s past tweets has proven is a lack of good jokes.
But even with many questioning Chris Pratt’s political and religious affiliation, the actor still is leading several high-profile projects coming out soon. Pratt is executive producing and starring in The Tomorrow War, a military science fiction action film which will also star Chuck’s Yvonne Strahovski, GLOW’s Betty Gilpin, and J.K. Simmons. The film is currently scheduled for July 23, 2021.
Chris Pratt also has two major sequels coming out in the near future. Filming has already concluded for Jurassic World: Dominion, which is directed by Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom director Colin Trevorrow. While the film will see the return of Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, it was also reunite the cast of the original film, with Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum all coming back for this sixth installment in the franchise. Jurassic World: Dominion is planned to release on June 10, 2022. In addition to that, Pratt will also appear in Thor: Love and Thunder, which is currently filming in Australia, and is planning for a May 6, 2022 release.
But despite what the hashtag says, Chris Pratt is still alive, and as of right now, his career is too.
