Heather Graham has been in some truly terrific movies over the years. She has pulled down some memorable bit roles in movies such as The Hangover and Scream 2, while also appearing in TV comedies such as Arrested Development, Scrubs, and her extremely short-lived series Emily’s Reasons Why Not, which only aired one episode. She’s also been naked in a lot of her best movies, and perhaps that’s a symptom of her willingness to really go for it, with any role she’s given.

While her misses have been rough and include Lost in Space, The Guru, and Horns, Graham has definitely been in her share of good movies, with films like Bowfinger, From Hell, and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. She has also had her share of so-so movies where she wasn’t naked like, of course, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.

But Graham’s career includes some great roles and our Giant Freakin Movie Score with its highly technical and controversial algorithm is ready to bring you her top films.

GIANT FREAKIN MOVIE SCORE: 8.65/10

Drugstore Cowboy was one of Heather Graham’s earliest entries into the movie business, getting her career moving in a positive direction with this massive critical success. In Drugstore Cowboy, Graham played Nadine, a young drug-addicted accomplice who travels around the Pacific Northwest with her boyfriend Rick, and other druggies Bob and Dianne, looking to score drugs to feed their habits, robbing pharmacies and hospitals for their fix.

Matt Dillon and Kelly Lynch played Bob and Dianne with James LeGros playing Rick. Drugstore Cowboy was written and directed by Gus Van Sant and was based on an autobiographical book of the same name by James Fogle.

GIANT FREAKIN MOVIE SCORE: 8.6/10

Boogie Nights is set in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s and told the story of the early porn industry and centering on one young man in particular, Dirk Diggler, played by Mark Wahlberg. Heather Graham was amongst an impressive ensemble that included Julianne Moore, Don Cheadle, John C. Reilly, William H. Macy, and in his Academy Award-nominated performance, Burt Reynolds.

For Graham’s part, she played Rollergirl, a porn actress who never takes off her roller skates, even when filming her porn scenes. Since she was a porn actress, that meant, of course, that Heather Graham had to be naked. Graham told the DailyNews, “I was basically going on auditions, and to read a script that good, you usually thought, ‘Oh, they’re probably going to cast someone famous.’ Graham beat out Tatum O’Neal and Drew Barrymore for the role and Heather Graham’s followers are thankful Anderson went with her.

GIANT FREAKIN MOVIE SCORE: 7.8/10

Six Degrees of Separation stars Will Smith in one of his earliest roles, playing a con-artist claiming to be the son of screen legend Sidney Poitier. He invades the home of the Kittredge’s (played by Donald Southerland and Stockard Channing), saying he is friends with one of their Ivy League college kids. As Smith charms the Kittredge family, it soon comes out that he isn’t who he claims to be, but rather a man who has been pulling this con on many in the Upper-East Side.

Heather Graham plays a supporting role in a movie that also featured Sir Ian McKellen and Bruce Davidson. The movie was based on the Pulitzer-Prize nominated play of the same name by John Guare.

Critics loved the movie, saying it was a film that truly showcased Graham’s acting talents.

HEATHER GRAHAM NOW

Heather Graham

Heather Graham, after her naked roller-skating role in Boogie Nights, has never shied away from stripping down in movies. Perhaps her freedom in front of the camera came from her strict upbringing as a catholic by her parents and her desire to move away from that attitude.

While being naked on screen has not been an issue for Heather Graham, a run-in with sexual predator Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein opened her eyes to how some in Hollywood work.

Half Magic

In a guest column she wrote for Variety, Heather Graham describes her encounter. “There was a pile of scripts sitting on his desk,” she wrote. “‘I want to put you in one of my movies,’ he said and offered to let me choose which one I liked best. Later in the conversation, he mentioned that he had an agreement with his wife. He could sleep with whomever he wanted when he was out of town…There was no explicit mention that to star in one of those films I had to sleep with him, but the subtext was there.”

She left that meeting but was scheduled for a follow-up with Weinstein at a hotel. Feeling much discomfort, she asked a friend to come along with her to the meeting. When her friend bailed at the last moment, Heather called Weinstein with an excuse to ditch the meeting. Weinstein lied to her in hopes to get her to the hotel, but she was able to stand her ground. She never got the movie part nor was she offered any other parts in Weinstein-produced movies.

Heather Graham continues to get solid work. She can currently be seen in the Stephen King mini-series The Stand, which is airing on CBS All Access. In her one episode on The Stand, Heather Graham had another one of her now trademark half-naked (it’s CBS after all) sex scenes. She’s as confident and committed to her craft as ever.

Graham has also filmed a pilot for The Hypnotist’s Love Story, based on the Liane Moriarty book of the same name, and has already wrapped the Western The Last Son. She’s still doing full-frontal nudity too. Heather Graham ended up naked on screen two years ago, at the age of 48-years-old in the movie Half Magic.

MORE HEATHER GRAHAM, PLEASE

Heather Graham’s The Last Son came out in 2021 with very little fanfare. The movie starred Sam Worthington (Avatar, Man on a Ledge), Thomas Jane (The Punisher, The Mist), and Colson Baker, who may be better known as Machine Gun Kelly. The western follows Worthington’s Isaac LeMay, who is a bad man. The murderous outlaw discovers that he is cursed when he has a prophecy that one of his children will kill him. So, to stop this, he hunts down his estranged children who include Baker’s Cal. Graham turns in a solid performance as Anna.

Whether the COVID pandemic slowed her down or she was simply taking a little bit of time away, Heather Graham was only seen in that one film in 2021. Thankfully for the now 52-year-old actress, that is all about to change. She has a number of projects lined up, her first one is the series Extrapolations. The Apple TV+ series is an anthology whose cast also includes Eiza González, Tobey Maguire, Forest Whitaker, and Marion Cotillard.

Her next project is called Oracle and is a horror film that follows a young woman whose traumatic past comes back to haunt her. When the young woman arrives on the property, she soon realizes that her childhood is directly connected to the evil inside the house. Graham co-stars with Ryan Destiny (Grown-ish, The Lower Bottoms).

After Oracle, Heather Graham has four more projects set. She will star in The Other Zoey, On a Wing and a Prayer (opposite Dennis Quaid), Best. Christmas. Ever, and finally Chosen Family. 2021 appears to simply be a blip on Graham’s radar when it comes to lack of work. Since her debut many moons ago, Graham has been a consistent face on both the big screen and small. It’s nice to see that it won’t be changing any time soon.

STILL NOT SHY

One thing Heather Graham is not shy about is her body. She shows off her assets in movies and continues to have no qualms about peeling off her clothing for her many admirers. She also doesn’t have an issue flaunting her goods over social media, as you can see below.

Graham takes pride in her looks and her well-toned body and has explained in the past how she got there. All it takes is a sugar-free diet, yoga three times a week, and 20 minutes of daily transcendental meditation that she picked from David Lynch years ago while working on the TV series Twin Peaks. It’s working, trust us.
