Star Wars Rebels Cosplay Proves Boba Fett Is So Long, Long Time Ago
This article is more than 2 years old
Boba Fett has long been one of the cosplay staples of any comics/sci-fi convention worth its salt. You’ll see at least two or three of the Mandalorian bounty hunter on any given day at a typical convention, mixed in with the Darth Vaders, some Jedi, and soooooooo many stormtroopers. And it’s been like that for a long while now. It’s time to shake things up and, dare I say it, add some color to the boring old standards. Enter Sabine from Star Wars Rebels…or at least a pretty wonderful cosplay version of her.
If you haven’t been following Rebels, Sabine Wren is a member of the Ghost crew alongside Hera, Kanan, Zeb, and Ezra, and a member of the simmering resistance that will someday become a full-scale rebellion against the Empire. She’s the team’s weapons and explosives expert, and she sports a heavily personalized version of Fett’s iconic Mandalorian armor. But hers is a lot more colorful, because Sabine is also an artist with a penchant for mixing her explosions with graffiti. Here’s what she looks like in Rebels.
And below is some more excellent cosplay by Florida native Eitanya, a member of the accurately named Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club. If you want to know how she made the costume, you can read her write-up on the MMCC’s forums. Meanwhile I’m gonna eyeball some more of these sweet pictures.
