Go! Go! Loser Ranger!

Go! Go! Loser Ranger! is set in a world where evil aliens (the Dusters) once invaded Earth but were defeated by powerful Dragon Keepers wielding magical weapons called Divine Tools.

After winning, the Dragon Keepers strike a deal with the Dusters that allows the aliens to live as long as they participate in a fake battle every week.

The strange deal leads the public to believe that war is ongoing and that the Dragon Keepers are working to keep them safe. However, Fighter D eventually becomes frustrated with the arrangement and decides to take down the Dragon Keepers.

He goes undercover as a Dragon Keeper cadet to infiltrate their organization, but his mission slowly becomes a daunting challenge.

One Of The Hottest New Animes

Go! Go! Loser Ranger!

Go! Go! Loser Ranger! is poised to become one of the hottest new anime of 2024. Its clever twist on tokusatsu tropes sets this series apart, particularly those seen in Super Sentai and Power Rangers. It squashes expectations at every turn, offering a distorted take on familiar narratives. For instance, not all of the Rangers are portrayed as heroic figures.

Extreme Cruelty And Impulsiveness

The Red Ranger specifically exhibits traits of extreme cruelty and impulsiveness, even towards his own team members.

This portrayal seems to mock the typical hot-headed behavior often associated with Red Rangers in both Sentai and Power Rangers series while also subverting the idea that their teams usually admire them.

Power Rangers Fans Can Appreciate

Go! Go! Loser Ranger!

Furthermore, the depiction of the villainous foot soldiers as essentially enslaved hints at an episode of Power Rangers in Space, which questioned whether the monsters fought by the Rangers were simply coerced into their evil actions.

Despite its comedic tone, Go! Go! Loser Ranger! offers layers of commentary that long-time fans of Power Rangers can appreciate.

Additionally, Go! Go! Loser Ranger! critiques the typical tropes of superhero shows, such as the rapid turnover of villainous armies and flawed heroism, making it enjoyable for Power Rangers fans and those unfamiliar with the franchise. The series is also filled with some nods and homages to classic tokusatsu stories.
