Production has officially begun on Tokyo Revengers Season 4, which will adapt the Bonten Arc based on Ken Wakui’s massively popular manga. The Bonten Arc is the penultimate arc before the “Final Arc,” so things will surely be heating up in the upcoming season. The story picks up where Season 3 left off, as Takemichi Hanegaki has saved most of his friends in the present day, except for Mikey who turned to a life of crime.

The Announcement

Fans of the manga will undoubtedly be hyped for Tokyo Revengers Season 4, as the Bonten Arc is considered one of the best. So, anime-only fans also have a lot to look forward to. Unfortunately, there’s no release window as part of the announcement, but a 2025 release seems like a safe bet based on when previous seasons were released. Until then, now is a great time to catch up on the wildly popular franchise if you haven’t already.

The Story Of Takemichi Hanagaki

Tokyo Revengers Season 4 contiues to follow Takemichi Hanagaki, whose ex-girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, is killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang in the first episode. Shortly after, Takemichi finds himself accidentally jumping back 12 years in time to when he was dating Hinata. This leads him to do everything he can to prevent her from dying in the present day.

Fifth Anniversary

The Tokyo Revengers manga is one of the best-selling of all time, with over 70 million copies in circulation. If you like time travel stories and you don’t get overly wrapped up in time travel logic, then Tokyo Revengers is a good anime to check out, with an interesting story and likable characters.

And there’s plenty of time to see the first three seasons with Tokyo Revengers Season 4 likely not coming out until next year.

Tokyo Revengers Season 4 airing next year makes sense, as it will be the fifth anniversary of the anime’s debut.

The fifth anniversary is set to include a celebration that involves a live show titled Dachi Live, which is a character image song concert that will happen on Februrary 2, 2025. A character image song album will come out before that titled Duet EP 01, which features duet songs sung by the characters of the series.

Fairy Tale Revengers

Along with learning that Tokyo Revengers Season 4 has began production, it was also recently announced that the anime series will have a spin-off mini series titled Fairy Tale Revengers.

The Fairy Tale Revengers series will tell Tokyo Revengers versions of various fairy tales, with the first episode being based on Momotaro (Peach Boy), a popular character from Japanese folklore. The series looks to be a gag series with chibi-style animation.

Negai No Astro

Tokyo Revengers Season 4 presumably won’t be the end of the anime series, with more content to adapt from the completed manga. Of course, Ken Wakui has since moved on to his next project Negai no Astro, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in April.

Wakui’s new series follows Hiburu Yotsurugi, the son of the previous Asakusa gang leader, who finds himself in the midst of a war of yakuza succession and a new world where the people of Japan have developed superpowers.
